What’s Your Story?
It all begins with you: who you are, where you come from, what you can teach others, and the legacy you want to leave behind.
My mission is to help you share your unique story through long-form written content in your voice. If you have a book in you but don’t have the expertise or the time to make it happen, then I'll help you get the words just right.
FAQs

It’s when a professional writer creates written content on behalf of another person (you!) but does not receive any formal credit for the work. Many books are ghostwritten, but you'll never know which ones. Successful people tend to be busy, so there’s little time left over for them to draft an entire manuscript. Luckily, there are ghostwriters who have the skill and desire to do that writing. And we don’t care about our name being on the work!

You might wonder, Shouldn’t I write my own book? If you have the expertise, the time, and the desire to do so…then yeah, you probably should. But most people who want to publish a book don't. My life’s work is to bring stories alive, so I have the skill and desire to complete these projects successfully.

It begins with you and what you’re looking for. Once I understand your goals, we can discuss what a project together would look like. If it seems like a good fit for both of us, I’ll offer you a quote and then craft a document that outlines the project in plain language. We’ll review it together, and when we’re both happy with the terms, I’ll formalize the document into a contract. That’s when the work begins!
-
You own the work, and you get the credit. We can sign an NDA depending on our exact situation.
-
The timeline and cost depend on the scope of the project. For most book-length projects, you can expect the process to take around six to eight months, with the investment generally falling in the low-to-mid five-figure range. Shorter projects, like articles, essays, or eBooks will take less time and are priced accordingly.
Once we connect and I learn more about your needs, I’ll offer you a quote.
-
As is the case with any book you’re attempting to publish in your name, nothing is ever guaranteed and the process will be up to you. If you want to go the route of traditional publishing in print, I recommend finding a literary agent. If you’re looking to self-publish, you might not need one. While I’m happy to point you in the right direction once the project is complete, my expertise is writing, not publishing. There are other experts you ought to work with for that.

With my easygoing personality and absolute dedication to my craft, I can go with the flow as well as speak up and advocate for the work when needed. I love to write, and I have the skills to craft a cohesive, polished manuscript in your voice. With my preference for quick and clear communication, you’ll never be left hanging or guessing with me.
-
Once we meet, I’ll offer you a quote that includes a price and timeline.
If you accept the quote, I’ll craft a Statement of Work, which details specific expectations for what writing will be produced, by when, with what level of revision or edits, and more.
The contract is a formalized version of the same information that we’ll both sign before work commences, and an NDA is a Non-Disclosure Agreement that will be needed if you want me to be a true ghost.
GHOSTWRITING PROJECTS
Book
Writing a full manuscript might sound daunting to you, but it sounds awesome to me. This project could be your autobiography, a memoir, a collection of personal essays, a how-to guide based on your expertise, or something else entirely. Instead of keeping your story or ideas to yourself, let’s get it all out to the world. For publishers to seriously consider your manuscript for a full-length book in print, we’ll aim for 70,000 - 100,000 words. That’s roughly 140 to 200 pages. Once I have enough information to start writing, you’ll be able to sit back and wait for the drafts to come in. Spend your time doing what you do best, and I’ll focus on bringing your story to life.
eBook
Not sure if you’re ready for a full-length book? Establish yourself as an expert in your field and gauge your audience’s interest with an eBook. We can work on your book down the road when it’s time.
Client Testimonials
"I was very satisfied with my work with Zach. The product was solid, and the process was deep and rewarding. Zach is professional, discreet, disarming, and very likable. We finished with a 30-page write-up of my life. As I read it, I realized Zach wrote it in a style that fits mine to a “T,” so while he did the heavy lifting, I feel significant ownership in the final version. 5 stars!”
